Police holds Sports Festival, Cricket Match

SOPORE, Nov 30: Sopore Police hosted a Sports Festival Exhibition cum Friendly Cricket Match at Soin Sadnar Sports Stadium, where the Sopore Police Cricket Team faced off against Soin Cricket Club. After winning the toss, Sopore Police opted to field first. Soin Cricket Club set a challenging target of 137 runs in 18 overs. Despite a strong chase, Sopore Police finished with 112 runs, falling short by 25 runs.
The event’s chief guest, SP Sopore Divya D, commended the youth for their active participation in sports. She emphasized the importance of community cooperation to tackle social issues, such as drug abuse, and promote a healthier society. The public praised the initiative, which strengthened the bond between the police and the local community. Sopore Police plans to organize more community-focused events in the future.
