JAMMU, Jan 18: Range Police Headquarters Jammu organised a Volleyball tournament in tehsil R S Pura, Jammu in which eight teams participated.
The tournament was conducted under Civic Action Programme 2023-2024 in Sardar Bana Singh Stadium R S Pura under the aegis of Shakti Kumar Pathak, DIG JSK Range and overall supervision of Staff Officer to DIG Jammu Rajinder Singh Katoch, SSP.
Shakti Kumar Pathak, DIG JSK Range was chief guest on this occasion. A total of seven matches were played, in first match team Government Higher Secondary School Dablehar beat Government Higher Secondary School Rangpur, in second match MHDAV Public School RS Pura beat Government Higher Secondary School Badyal Brahmna, in third match Government Model Boys Higher Secondary School RS Pura beat Chuni Lal Memorial Higher Secondary School Chakroi, in fourth and last league match Government Higher Secondary School Chandu Chak beat Government Higher Secondary School Sai Kalan.
In the semi-finals Government Model Boys Higher Secondary School RS Pura beat Government Higher Secondary School Dablehar and in second semi-final Government Higher Secondary School Chandu Chak beat MHDAV Public School RS Pura.
In the final match, Government Higher Secondary School Chanduchak registered its win by beating Government Model Boys Higher Secondary School RS Pura. Several prominent persons, including SDM RS Pura Seema Parihar, Principal Govt. Degree College RS Pura Dr Rajni Bhagat, Municipal Chairman RS Pura Satpal alias Pappi, Principal Govt. Boys Hr. Sec School RS Pura Suman Lata, Mahant Rajesh Bittu, ZPEO RS Pura Omesh Kumar Sharma, President Bajaj Association RS Pura among many others were present.
At the end of the tournament DIG Jammu Shakti Kumar Pathak, Staff officer to DIG Jammu Rajinder Singh Katoch SSP, SP Headquarters Jammu Ramnish Gupta, DySP Raman Kumar ADO RPHQ Jammu and DySP RPHQ, Jatinder Singh Sambyal distributed cash prizes and trophies to winner and runner up teams and certificates to all the participants.
