Police holds Volleyball tourney

JAMMU, Feb 17: Range Police Headquarters Jammu has organised a Volleyball tournament at Khour in which eight teams participated.
The tournament was conducted under Civic Action Programme 2023-2024 in Martyr Gulbadhan Singh Government Higher Secondary School Khour of district Jammu under the aegis of Dr Sunil Gupta, DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range and overall supervision of Staff officer to DIG Jammu Rajinder Singh Katoch, SSP.
The Chief Guest on the occasion was Rajinder Singh Katoch SSP; Staff Officer to DIG JSK Range, Jammu and Tehsildar Khour, Monika Sharma was guest of honour, President All India Bhau Biradari Narinder Singh Bhau and Vice Principal Government Higher Secondary School Khour Sunder Bala were also present on the occasion.
In the first match Volleyball team Pallanwala beat GDC Khour-B, in second match Team Higher Secondary School Pargwal beat team JSK Khour, in third match Dehrian beat GDC Khour-A and in fourth and last league match Khour Camp beat team GHS Khour. In the semi-finals Volleyball team Pallanwala beat Higher Secondary School Pargwal and in second semi-final team Khour Camp beat Volleyball team Dehriyan. In the final match, Volleyball team Pallanwala registered its win by beating Khour Camp.
Several prominent persons, Staff and Students of Martyr Gulbadhan Singh Hr. Sec School Khour, general public from different locations of Tehsil Khour were also present to boost the morale of the players and appreciated the efforts of Jammu & Kashmir Police for organising such a tournament.
At the end of the tournament Staff Officer to DIG Jammu Rajinder Singh Katoch SSP, President Bhau Biradari Narinder Singh Bhau, Senior Citizen and Volleyball Coach Master Puran Singh, SHO Khour Sukhbir Singh and Sub Inspector Suresh Kumar distributed Cash Prize, Trophies and Volleyballs, to winner and runner up teams and certificates to all the participants.
