Police holds Volleyball tourney in Akhnoor

JAMMU, Feb 10: Range Police Headquarters Jammu organised a Volleyball tournament in Jourian, Akhnoor in which eight teams participated.
The tournament was conducted under Civic Action Programme 2023-2024 in Government Girls High School Jourian of Tehsil Akhnoor under the aegis of Dr Sunil Gupta, DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range and overall supervision of Staff Officer to DIG Jammu Rajinder Singh Katoch, SSP.
Chief Guest was Rajinder Singh Katoch SSP, Staff Officer to DIG JSK Range, Jammu and Guest of Honour was Daljeet Singh Chib, Ex Vice President Kissan Board and Bushan Bral, DDC Bhalwal Brahmana.
A total of seven matches were played, in first match Gurha Brahmna beat Volleyball team Devipur, in second match Chanderbagha Higher Secondary School Akhnoor beat Volleyball team Muthi Maira, in third match Higher Secondary School Jourian beat Volleyball team Garkhal, in fourth and last league match team Manchack Club Jourian defeats Volleyball team Muthi Jourian.
In the semi-finals, team Gurhabrahmna beat Team Chanderbagha Higher Secondary School Akhnoor and in the second semi-final Manchack Volleyball Club beat Higher Secondary School Jourian. In the final match Manchack Club Jourian registered its win by beating Gurha Brahmana Volleyball Team.
At the end of the tournament Staff officer to DIG Jammu Rajinder Singh Katoch SSP, DySP Raman Kumar ADO RPHQ Jammu, SDPO Akhnoor Mohan Lal Sharma and SHO Akhnoor Zaheer Mushtaq distributed Cash Prize, Trophies & Volleyballs to winner and runner up teams and certificates to all the participants and congratulated all the teams for their efforts.
