Police inaugurates RPHQ Premier League T20 tournament

KISHTWAR, May 4: District Police inaugurated Regional Police Headquarter Premier League T20 Tournament at Chatroo on the directions of DIG of Police DKR Range, Dr Sunil Gupta-IPS, here today.
The tournament is being organised under the banner of Range Police T20 Cricket Premier League in the memory of the martyrs of J&K Police
SSP Shafqat Hussain Batt, Inspector Sameer Ahmed SHO PS Chatroo along with other officers   inaugurated the T20 Range Cricket League wherein a total of 32 teams are participating in the tournament.
The first match was played between Gorinal XI and Combined Dhar-XI.
While inaugurating the tournament, SSP Shafqat Hussain Batt welcomed the players of different teams participating in the tournament and citizens who came here to witness the inaugural match.
He said that this tournament provides an opportunity to pay tribute and homage to the brave officers and jawans of J&K Police who sacrificed their lives for protecting the nation. He said that Jammu and Kashmir Police is proud of its martyrs who while protecting people and the nation sacrificed their lives and illuminated the name of our force and country.
