SRINAGAR, Dec 24: The 18th Police Martyrs Memorial Football tournament, organised by Police, entered Day-2 , wherein three matches each were played at TRC Ground and Bakshi Stadium, here today.
Fayaz Ahmed Lone Commandant IRP-10th Bn was the chief guest. He was accompanied by Dronacharya Awardee Kuldeep Handoo DySP (Sports) APHQ J&K and other officers.
At Bakshi Stadium, the match was played between Titans FC Kashmir and DFA Jammu A, which was won by DFA Jammu by 2 goals to nil. Both goals were scored by Aditya Mahajan in the 11th & 29th minutes and was awarded with man of the match.
The 2nd match was played between J&K Forest and DFA Kupwara, which was won by J&K Forest by 5:3 goals via tie breaker. The goal scorers of J&K Forest team were Rizwan, Nasir, Javaid, Khaliq Umar and Ashiq Mushtaq, while Mahi Usma, Malik Imtiyaz and Mohd Amin scored goals for Kupwara. The man of the match was awarded to Ashiq Mushtaq.
The 3rd match was played between DFA Kulgam and Zone Pattan which was won by Zone Pattan by 3 goals to 1. The goals were netted by Mohd Rafiq and Nasir Ahmad (2-goals) for the winning team, while for DFA, Abrar Fayaz netted a goal. Nasir Ahmad of the winning team was announced as man of the match.
At TRC, DFA Jammu B Vs Zone Handwara, the match was won by DFA Jammu B by 2 goals to nil. Both goals were scored by Paris Bashin in the 26th & 35th minutes and was awarded with man of the match. In the 2nd match which was played between Zone Hajin and Zone Rafi Abad, wherein Zone Hajin won the match by 6 goals to 1. The 1st, 2nd and 4th goals were scored by Gowhar Majeed Jersey, while 3rd goal was netted by by Rashid Shakeel and 5th by AdilYousuf, moreover 6th goal was scored by Owais Altaf.
For the losing team, the lone goal was netted by Danish. The man of the match award went to Gowhar Majeed.
The 3rd match was played between IFC Kashmir and DFA Ganderbal, which was won by IFC Kashmir by 5 goals to 4 via tie breaker. The goal scorers of IFC Kashmir were Asif, Ishfaq Ali, Faisal, Zahid and Talib and for the losing team, goals were netted by Nadeem, Mustafa and Aadil. The man of the match was awarded to Azhar Bashir.
