JAMMU, Nov 2: Police Martyrs Memorial Sports Festival, organised by District police at MAM Stadium under Civic Action Programme (CAP), concluded, here today.
Vice Chancellor of Jammu University, Manoj Dhar was the chief guest while Mukesh Singh, IGP Jammu Zone was guest of honour of the closing ceremony.
Shridhar Patil, SSP Jammu, PD Nitya, SP City North, Raja Adil Hamid, SP Headquarters, Officers and staff of District Youth Services and Sports were also present during culmination of the event.
Various sports events were organised during the festival at Indoor MAM Stadium Jammu and Jammu University Ground. The purpose of the event was to remember the martyrdom of police personnel who made supreme sacrifices of their lines while performing their duties for the nation.
Final match of Badminton (singles) U/19 was won by Sehdev while Badminton (doubles) was clinched by Yashdeep and Sehdev whereas the final match of Volleyball was won by Pallanwalla team from Gardkhal team.
The final match of Cricket U/19 was played between SKCC and Game Changers wherein Game Changers emerged winner. Man of the Match was awarded to Akshit Jandal while Man of the Series award was given to Aqib. Akshit Jandral and Vishal were awarded with Best Batsman and Best Bowler awards respectively.
