Police nabs fake Labour Officer from Sonamarg

GANDERBAL, July 4: On specific compliant received in the office of Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal and Labour Commissioner, J&K that some persons were issuing fake registration cards to the service providers of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra by charging a hefty amount, the Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal Dr. Piyush Singla and Labour Commissioner, Dr. Abdul Rashid directed the Assistant Labour Commissioner, Ganderbal Murtaza Ahmad Sheikh to proceed to Sonamarg to investigate the specific complaint.
The Assistant Labour Commissioner, Ganderbal along with the J&K Police raided local hotel and caught hold of a person impersonating as Labour Officer of Labour Department and issuing service provider registration cards against a hefty sum of Rs. 600 to Rs. 1000 whereas normal fee for service provider registration cards is Rs. 50 only.
The other person was found in possession of incriminating documents and was arrested by the police on the spot. An FIR has been registered against him in the Police Station Sonamarg.
In similar complaint, police have also nabbed few persons involved in black marketing of helicopter tickets on Neelgrath Panjtarni route.
