DODA, Oct 20: Police organised a debate competition as part of ‘Police Commemoration Day’ at District Police Lines on the topic, “From Patriotism to Martyrdom- a big moral” in which students of various schools participated, here today.
The aim of the programme was to pay high respect, rich tribute and to remember the supreme sacrifices of martyrs who have laid their lives for the integrity and sovereignty of the Nation.
SSPAbdul Qayoom was the chief guest and while speaking on this occasion, he urged upon the students and participants to work with high spirit of patriotism and contribute towards the development and prosperity of the nation.
He also advised the students and participants to help the Police in eradicating the menace of drugs and other evils from the society. A number of students participated in the debate competition and SSP Doda highly appreciated the outstanding performance of the students who participated in this event.
First two awards were secured by Muskan Javed of Faridia Model Higher Secondary School Doda and Menakshi Gouria of Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Doda respectively, while Rutba Fatima of Shaheen Public Higher Secondary School Doda and Yasir Hargah of Green Model Higher Secondary School Doda shared the 3rd prize.
Moreover, certificates of participation and mementos were given to other participants of the debate competition.
Prahlad Bhagat, CEO Doda, Master Popsy, Addl. SP Hqrs Doda, Shoket Ali, DySP DAR and ZEO Assar were among the prominent who were present during the event.
