BHADERWAH, Mar 23: District Police Doda, under the supervision of SSP Doda Sandeep Mehta, organized the “Run for Unity” marathon as part of the Civic Action Programme at New Bus Stand Bhaderwah. The event was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh, in the presence of various dignitaries, including Additional Deputy Commissioner Bhaderwah Sunil Kumar, Additional SP Headquarters Doda Shakeel Rehman Bhat, Additional SP Bhaderwah Vinod Kumar Sharma, Tehsildar Bhaderwah Kamalpreet Singh, SDPO Bhaderwah Shoket Ali and others.
The marathon saw enthusiastic participation from people of all ages, including youth, students, senior citizens and police personnel. The 4-kilometer run, flagged off by DC Doda Harvinder Singh, started at the New Bus Stand Bhaderwah, proceeding to Domail and back. The event emphasized national integration, unity and fitness.
In the competitive segment, the top performers were Roshan Baloria (Dranga Bhaderwah), Akhil Charak (Sarna Bhaderwah) and Danish Muneeb (Kahara Gandoh). DC Doda emphasized the significance of unity in diversity and collective efforts to strengthen national harmony. The event concluded with the distribution of trophies and appreciation for the participants, reaffirming the District Police Doda’s commitment to community building and unity.
