Police organizes T-20 cricket tournament

POONCH, Nov 5:  Continuing its mission of channelizing the energy of the youths and providing platform to the budding players, District Police Poonch organized a T-20 cricket tournament at Degree College Ground, here.
SP Poonch, Shamsheer Hussain while speaking on the opening ceremony of the tournament said that in addition to their bounden duties, J&K Police is also fulfilling its social responsibilities for overall development of the society.
Jahangir Hussain Mir, MLC was the chief guest on the opening ceremony. He while speaking on the occasion lauded the role of J&K Police in fighting militancy and dealing with crime and law and order across the State
Large number of locals from all walks of life attended the opening ceremony. Prominent among others, who attended the opening ceremony included ADDC Poonch, Anwar Hussain Shah, DySP Hqrs Poonch , Mohammad Rashid, DySP DAR, organizing secretary of the tournament,  Azeem Qureshi, Sardar Harcharan Singh Khalsa, President All India Sikh Student Federation,  Rajinder Singh Kaka, District President Congress, Advocate Mohinder Payasa, Abdul Hamid Manhas, District President PDP, Chowdhary Abdul Gani, Block President NC,  Amar Singh Josh, Narjeet Singh I/C District Sports and Youth Services Officer, Poonch.
