UDHAMPUR, Dec 21: To eradicate the menace of social evils from society and promote sports and games, Udhampur Police, under Civic Action Programme, organised a T20 Cricket Tournament at Choprashop Playground, Rehmbal, here.
The tournament was inaugurated by SSP Udhampur Ashkoor Ahmed Wani in a simple function.
8 teams of Rehmbal are participating in the tournament. Sports gear was distributed among the players on the occasion.
The tournament is being held under the directions of Director General of Police Ashok Prasad, while SSP Udhampur is the organizing secretary of the tournament.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Additional SP Binam Tosh, Deputy SP DAR Udhampur, Niaz-ul-Hussan, SHO Post Station Rehmbal.
