SRINAGAR, Aug 31: JK Police Public School, Bemina Srinagar, celebrated its annual sports day with much enthusiasm and energy, showcasing the school’s commitment to fostering a strong sporting culture. The event was attended by several distinguished dignitaries, including the Chairperson of J&K Police Wives Welfare Association (JKPWWA), Professor Roshmita Das Swain, Inspector General of Police Sujit Kumar, Principal Snigdha Singh Chauhan, and Vice Principal Pragati Pandey.
In their addresses, all the dignitaries spoke on the importance of sports in a student’s life, emphasizing how participation in sports contributes to the overall development of an individual. Professor Swain highlighted the value of sports in building character, resilience, and teamwork. She encouraged students to actively participate in sports, alongside their academic pursuits.
IGP Sujit Kumar also stressed the significance of physical fitness and its direct impact on mental well-being. He urged the students to embrace sports as a vital part of their daily lives, reminding them that a healthy body is key to a healthy mind.
Principal Snigdha Singh Chauhan, while addressing the gathering, reiterated the school’s dedication to promoting sports and physical education.
