UDHAMPUR, Jan 21: Police today rescued seven bovine animals, while the smugglers managed to flee from the spot.
Police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police conducted a raid near Ramnagar and subjected a Tata Mobile without registration number to checking.
During checking, police recovered seven bovine animals, while the smugglers identified as Mohd Khalid, son of Mohd Shafi of Bagwati Nagar, Jammu, Totu, son of Chirag Din of Kagote, Ramnagar and Mohd Din of Jagnoo managed to flee from the spot.
A case under FIR number 7/13 under Section 188 RPC, 3 PCA Act has been registered at Ramnagar Police Station and manhunt has been launched to apprehend the smugglers.
