JAMMU, Oct 9: Police today resorted to cane- charge to disperse the activists of a newly-formed party, demanding release of their three members, who were arrested after they created chaos in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly for the implementation of employment policy.
Over 100 activists of the JK Democratic Front tried to take out a protest rally here in the city in support of their demand for the release of its three members, who were arrested in the Assembly yesterday.
However, the activists were cane-charged by police in a bid to disperse them during which four of them were injured.
