Police returns cash to pilgrim

JAMMU, Jan 19: Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan police today returned a purse containing Rs 28,900 cash and other items to a Maharashtra resident Ram Mane son of Yashwant Mane after it was found on the track by police constable Tarsem Lal.
Mane, a resident of Sholapur, Maharashtra, had come for darshan of Mata Vaishno Devi ji along with others when he lost his purse. Police patrolling party led by SHO Bhawan Inspector Rajesh Sharma opened the purse after constable Tarsem Lal traced it and found some telephone numbers mentioned in a visiting card.
Police party established contact with Mane and handed over the cash and other items to him after verifying that he was the genuine owner.
