POONCH, Nov 10: The district police Poonch in a unique initiative, reviewed 278 history sheets in the district and based on the consistent good behavior, an account was taken of the history sheeters, who are no longer addicted to crime.
A police spokesman said that based on ground inputs, a team of officers was constituted which recommended the conversion of history sheets into personal files of the eligible subjects. Out of the 97 history sheets of the Sub Division Poonch, 36 have been converted into personal files. From Police Station Surankote, out of the 99 history sheets, 12 have been converted into personal files. In Mendhar, 11 cases out of 82 history sheets have been recommended for conversion. This exercise will provide an opportunity to some people to mend their deviant conduct.
