SAMBA, Dec 7: Continuing its drive against illegal mining in district Samba, police has seized five vehicles including two excavators in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Bari Brahmana and PS Ramgarh which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
Police said its teams headed by SHO Bari Brahmana and SHO Ramgarh under the supervision of ASP SDPO Bari Brahmana and SDPO Vijaypur respectively and under the overall supervision of SSP Samba while performing patrolling duty in its jurisdictional areas, have seized five vehicles including two excavators (JCB) bearing Registration No. JK02BX-8389 and another without Registration Number, two dumpers bearing Registration numbers JK21J-6888 and JK21H-5080 and one tractor trolley bearing Registration Number, PB06AZ-9277 which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material in the area.
These vehicles have been seized by police and handed over to Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further action.
