Police solves kidnapping cases

SRINAGAR, June 6: Police solved two kidnapping cases by recovering the abducted girls and arrested the accused in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district today.
A Police spokesman said that on Dec 26 last year, Police Station Kokernag received a written complaint from one person stating therein that his daughter in law was abducted by the accused, from Sonabrari Kokernag on Dec 22 of December 2017 from her home and in this regard, a case FIR Number 231/2017 under Section 366-RPC was registered.
Similarly on June 01, another written complaint was received by Police Station Kokernag by Begum Jan that her daughter was abducted by one person from her home on May 30 and in this regard a case FIR number 73/2018 under section 366-RPC was registered in Police Station Kokernag.
The spokesman said during the course of investigation, Anantnag police flashed a message to all police units and also constituted a special team headed by SHO Police Station Kokernag. After strenuous efforts, both the girls were recovered and the accused persons were arrested. After completions of legal formalities, both the victims were handed over to their legal heirs.
