SRINAGAR, July 21: Police XI shall lock horns with United Cricket Club Tral in the title clash of the T20 Cricket Championship, being organized by District Police Awantipora at Charligung Stadium, near here. The Tournament, in which the teams have been drawn from the adjoining like Pampore, Tral, Awantipora and Pulwama etc had commenced on July 7.
Earlier, in the first semifinal, United Tral defeated Hilal Cricket Club to seal berth in the finals, while in the second final played today, Police XI drubbed Padgampora XI by a big margin of 52 runs.
Batting first, Police XI set a target of 176 runs for the opposite team, Padgampora XI while chasing the target collapsed at 114 runs, thus lost the match by 52 runs. Mohammad Hanief was declared man of the match for his knock of 54 runs and taking 1 wicket.
