Political parties should not interfere in religious affairs: VHP

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Nov 9: VHP State patron, Dr Rama Kant Dubey appealed the political parties to remain confined to their respective fields and not to disrespect the feelings of others and interfere in religious affairs.
The Governments in State as well as at the Centre should limit their activities to their adopted programmes and not try to cross the limits especially which are linked to the religious sentiments of others, Dr Dubey told reporters here today along with VHP State chief Leela Karan Sharma, Sukh Ram Sharma and Bal Kirshan Gupta while commenting on a cartoon published in a national daily.
He said it is known fact that Hindus all over the country worship cow considering it as most holy animal. They also perform its pooja on various religious occasions, he added.
He said the cartoon has hurt the sentiments of Hindus. Dr Dubey asked the Hindus to see through the nefarious designs of anti Hindu mindset in the guise of secularism.  He said no body should be allowed to interfere in the religious affairs of others as this trend will prove dangerous for the nation as a whole.
The people all over the world should respect the feelings and sentiments of others, he said, adding unless this spirit of co-existence, mutual trust and respect for others is maintained, the nation can not survive.
He also said the cartoonist should tender his apology for the Cartoon published by him as it ha hurt the sentiments of Hindus.
