JAMMU, Dec 26: Duggar Pradesh Party (DPP) today said that the recent results of Legislative Assembly elections vindicated our demand of separate statehood to Jammu region, Kashmir region and Union Territory status to Ladakh region, as we are culturally, lingually, geographically and politically totally different from each other and have different political and developmental aspirations.
Uday Chand, DPP president, said that the people are wise enough and have voted BJP to form Government in Duggar Pradesh only (Jammu Region) with 25 seats out of 37 and PDP to form Government in Kashmir State with 28 seats out of 46 and Ladakh can be declared as Union Territory as they are demanding the same since long.
He said the voters of all three regions Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh has brought true picture of State politics and explained in clear terms that we all are politically separate as were before Maharaja Gulab Singh.
Chand strongly urged the Central leadership to understand the hard facts of the situation as how Kashmiri leadership kept 12 assembly seats less in Jammu Division in 1950 as compared to Kashmir which deficiency is continuously making Jammu region, a political slave of Kashmir politics.
