SRINAGAR, June 6: Poloview Football Club, Independent FC and Tengpora FC registered convincing wins over their rivals to advance in the ongoing ‘B’ Division Football League Tournament, being organized by the District Football Association (DFA) Srinagar at Polo Ground and Islamia College Ground, here.
In the first match played at Polo Ground, Poloview FC drubbed Peerbagh FC by three goals to nil (3-0). Shayik pelted 2 goals in 12th and 46th minute of the match, while Irshad netted the goal in 18th minute.
In another match at Polo Ground, Independent FC rode on a superb show from Ishfaq Ahmad and blanked New Young Iqbal FC by four goals to nil (4-0) in an easy contest.
Ishfaq Ahmed scored 2 goals, one in 9th minute and another in 17th minute, while Ishfaq Ganai and Tufail pelted goals in 24th and 37th minutes respectively.
At Islamia College, Tengpora FC defeated Makhdoomi FC by four goals to one (4-1). Zubair scored 2 goals, while Shafiq and Amir netted one goal each for Tengpora FC.
