POONCH, July 25: Under-17 girls Football team of Poonch emerged victorious in Subroto Football Cup held at Jammu.
Three districts teams participated in the competition from Jammu Division. The Poonch Football team defeated Kathua with commendable score line of 3-0 in the final. Mehnaz Bashir scored two goals and Aaliya Fatima Sofi score one goal from Poonch team. Poonch girls showcased their exceptional skills and team work on the field, securing a well deserved victory.
The competition was organized by Department of Youth Service and Sports. The Poonch team has qualified for the Inter Division Union Territory level where they will face Srinagar for the prestigious Subroto Football Cup. District Youth Service and Sports Officer Poonch, Principal, Dina Nath Rafiq Memorial Girls Higher Secondary School Poonch and their coach and Instructor Rajinder Singh appreciated the team’s performance.
