POONCH, Nov 20: Poonch Link Up Day, which is celebrated every year to commemorate the link up between Brig Pritam Singh forces and the main forces of Poonch, was celebrated with more enthusiasm and gusto this year, as the celebrations were shot off with a trek of Army persons and school children from Poonch to Danna Ka Peer.
The trekking team was flagged off by Brig MK Mago, SM, Commander, Poonch Brigade, this morning amidst a civil-military gathering from Tanda.
The trekking team comprised of 16 Army personnel of 15 JAT, 32 children including 16 girls and three teachers from Higher Secondary School, Chandak, and covered a mountainous and rugged trek of about 18 kilometer on foot to Danna Ka Peer.
