JAMMU, Feb 7: Poonch Royals beat Kings XI Rajouri in exciting finals of the Dhanidar Premier League (DPL) 2018 by 3 wickets, here.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Kings XI Rajouri team scored149 runs in 19.2 overs.
In reply, Poonch Royals rode on Amandeep’s 65 runs off 51 balls to chase the required total by losing 7 wickets, thus won the match by 3 wickets.
GOC Romeo Force, Major General Raj Sinha, VSM was the chief guest on the occasion, who distributed prizes among the teams and players.
Amir Wani of Ramban Warriors for 232 runs in the tournament and Shahzad Raina of Kings XI Rajouri for 11 wickets were adjudged best batsmen and best bowler respectively.
The said tournament was conducted by Romeo Force under the aegis of White Knight Corps.
The event was aimed at giving youth an opportunity to showcase their talent and was a grand success.
