Poor facilities in Jammu hospitals

Sir,
The condition of hospitals in Jammu is way below the basic standards.Having lived in all big metro cities of India for last 12 years and now outside India ,I do not see Emergency Facilities in Gandhi Nagar Hospital. Every time a critical case comes, it is automatically referred to GMC Bakshi Nagar. Besides, they do not have either the proficient staff or infrastructure to save the patient. So, why should people come in a serious critical condition to such a place when they have only few minutes to live ? In Jammu, with the increasing number of vehicles and mismanagement of the traffic rules , the accidents ( 500 people die in road accidents daily in India) are increasing at a very high rate and the results are even more disastrous keeping in mind the emergency provisions of Government hospitals which are totally below par as compared to other States of India .
On a personal note, I lost my father last month in a tragic accident, he was taken to Gandhi Nagar Hospital and it took him nearly 20-25 minute only to be referred to GMC. Later he died on the way to GMC. The concerned authorities should completely remove the Emergency facilities from Gandhi Nagar Hospital so that a patient in that kind of pain, distress and shock does not waste his precious time but rather be taken to other hospitals like GMC. If the administration is incapable to improve the condition of GMC then permission to set up big private hospitals like MAX, APOLLO in close vicinity of Jammu City (as it is catering to more than 8 lakh population) should be given. It is a basic right of every citizen of India.
