POONCH, Dec 27: Power House Club registered a win by a solitary goal over Stadium-B to move into the next round of the Poonch District Girls Hockey Championship, being organized by Hockey Poonch under the banner of Hockey J&K at Sports Stadium, here.
Earlier, the players of both the teams made valiant attempts to score a goal to get an early lead, but Power House Club got the success as Neha Sharma netted a superb goal in 19th minute of the match to help her team win by the same margin.
The match was officiated by Kawaldeep Singh and Rohit Sharma, while the tournament is being held under the supervision of Sham Lal Sharma, hockey coach of Sports Authority of India (SAI).
Physical Education Master, Sarla Bakshi was the chief guest in today’s proceedings, while In-charge Sports Stadium Poonch, Nirdosh Sharma was also present on the occasion.
