POONCH, Aug 2: Power House Hockey Club smashed Stadium Orange B by 4-3 goals and lifted the title trophy of sub junior boys, organized during the ongoing District Poonch Hockey Championship by Hockey Poonch under the aegis of Hockey J&K at Sports Stadium, here today.
In the first half, Vishal of Power House Hockey Club netted the first goal of the match in 15th minute. Ajaz of Power House Hockey Club doubled the lead by netting the goal in the 26th minute. Tushar of Stadium Orange B netted the goal in the last minute of the first half and brought down the scorecard to 2-1 goals.
In the second half, enthusiastic Vishal of Power House Hockey Club netted the goal in the 33rd minute and raised the scorecard to 3-1 goals.
Tushar of Stadium Orange B scored the goal in 40th minute and brought some respite for the team members by brining down the lead to 3-2 goals. Nissar of Stadium Orange B scored the goal and equalized the scorecard to 3-3 goals in 45th minute.
Passionate Vishal of Power House Hockey Club with his exemplary skills netted the goal in the 49th minute and raised the lead over opponent Stadium Orange B team by one goal.
Players of Stadium Orange B strived hard to win the game but they failed and lost the match by 4-3 goals.
On the occasion, Narjeet Singh, Incharge District Youth Services and Sports Officer Poonch was the chief guest, while Nirdosh Kumar, Incharge Sports Stadium Poonch, Tanveer Dar, Mushtaq Ahmed and Pawan Kumar were also present.
The match was officiated by Mukesh Kumar, Hockey Coach, Sohil, Vikas and Rohit.
The Championship is being organised under the supervision of Sham Lal Sharma, Vice President, Hockey J&K.
