JAMMU, Nov 28: Power Lifting players brought laurels to the J&K by winning medals in the Sub-Junior, Junior, Senior and Master (M&W) Bench Press Championship and North India Junior and Senior Championship.
The team bagged 4 Gold, 5 Silver and 11 Bronze medals in different weight categories in the Bench Press Championship held at Pune Maharashtra. The team also won 3 Gold, 4 Silver and 4 Bronze medals in the North India Junior and Senior Championship held at Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh.
The team was welcomed by Dr Naseem Javaid Chowdhary, Secretary, J&K State Sports Council, Yasir Arafat Chief Accounts Officer, J&K State Sports Council, Ravi Singh Divisional Sports Officer, Jammu, Inderpal Singh Weightlifting Coach, J&K State Sports Council and General Secretary of the association Ajay Sharma.
Secretary Sports Council appreciated the efforts of the team for this big achievement and assured them for further support in future.
