SRINAGAR, Oct 8: After rendering a huge and tacit support in restoration of electric supply to Kashmir valley, Powergrid today came forward to provide a small help in health sector by handing over an ambulance to Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences Soura.
S.K.Sharma, Executive Director Powergrid Northern Region-II handed over an ambulance to Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences Dr. S.A.Zargar, Director SKIMS received the ambulance, in presence of senior doctors of SKIMS and senior officers of Powergrid
Powergrid is donating 28 such ambulances to various Govt. Hospitals across the country under its CSR initiative with the objective that it will strengthen the Public Health infrastructure, increase confidence of people in public healthcare services and enhanced utilization of public health infrastructure.
S.K.Sharma highlighted various CSR activities being undertaken by the POWERGRID and stressed on the fact that CSR activities by POWERGRID are the manifestation of its commitment to a better future for all and helping the nation in building a sustained and self-dependent social structure. He intimated that one such ambulance has already been handed over Government Medical College Jammu and two more will be handed over at Shimla and Patiala shortly.
