Prajapati Sabha celebrates Prakash Utsav of Sant Gora

JAMMU, Feb 23: J&K Prajapati Sabha celebrated 696th Prakash Utsav of Sant Gora Ji Maharaj at Gora Ji Bhawan, Indira Chowk, Jammu today under the chairmanship of its president Ayoudhya Kumar Manawa.
Member of Parliament, Jugal Kishore Sharma was the chief guest of the function while Dr Lokesh Kumar Prajapati (Vice Chairperson, National Commission for Backward Classes was special guest. Ex-MLA Jammu East, Rajesh Gupta was guest of honour. All the guests paid floral tributes to the great saint for the peace and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir.
The function started with Aarti, which was followed by Bhajan and Kirtan. Prominent social workers who attended the function were Swami Muni Ji Maharaj (from Haridwar), Baba Gurdev Singh Ji (from Amritsar), Raghubir Singh Rajasansi (National president of Kumbhkar Singh, Dutta Ji (from Maharashtra), Hans Raj Jangid, Jaspal Singh Khiba (president, Daksh Welfare and Charitable Society, Hoshiarpur), Prof Satnam Singh (from Gurdaspur) and others.
The chief guest and other guests, while speaking on the occasion, appealed the gathering to follow the teachings of Sant Gora Ji Maharaj to promote high values of brotherhood, peaceful life and national unity. They also assured all help to accomplish the ongoing work of community hall.
President of the Sabha, in his address, projected the issue of 27 % reservation to OBCs and criticized the previous J&K Governments for not providing justice to the OBCs. He appealed the UT Government to implement the orders of the Supreme Court for Mandal Commission in J&K as prevalent in rest of the country.
FC Satia, general secretary of the Sabha, presented charter of demands to the chief guest for early consideration.
The function culminated after serving Guru Ka Langar to one and all.
