JAMMU, July 27: A deputation of Prajapati (Kumhar) Sabha led by its senior vice-president, Jeet Singh Sangotra met Forest Minister, Bali Bhagat, and submitted him a memorandum highlighting their demands.
The demands highlighted in the memorandum include issuance of OBC certificate instead of OSC certificate to the OBCs, issuance of pre-matric, post-matric and other educational facilities to OBC students as admissible to other reserved categories, nomination of Kumhar community in State Commission for OBC, State OBC Development Board, and SC/ST/OBC Financial Development Corporation of the State/Khadi Village Industries Board.
The delegation also appealed the Minister to direct concerned department for coverage of dirty nullaha flowing near the temple at Indira Chowk.
The Minister assured the deputation that he would place their charter of demands to the Government for their early redressal.
