JAMMU, Sept 5: Pranshu Kabra of Jammu clinched gold in Under-19 boys 400 Meters Free Style event of the State Level Inter-Division Swimming Competition, which got underway at KC Public School Swimming Pool, here today.
The Competitions are being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, under the patronage of its Director General, Navin Aggarwal and under the supervision of Tirath Ram, District Youth Services and Sports officer, Jammu.
Mudit Gupta of Jammu claimed silver Under-19 boys 400 Meters Free Style event.
Earlier, in Under-19 boys 50 Mtr Back Stroke, Rajat Sharma of Jammu, Sharoz Ahmed of Kashmir and Farukh Usman of Kashmir claimed gold, silver and bronze medals respectively, while in Under-19 boys 100 Mtr Free Style, Rajat Sharma of Jammu bagged gold, Amit Sharma of Jammu claimed silver and Danish Bashir of Kashmir clinched bronze.
In Under-19 boys 200 Mtr Free Style, Ahmed Ikram of Jammu, Rajat Sharma of Jammu and Wasik of Kashmir claimed gold, silver and bronze respectively, while in Under-19 boys 200 Mtr Back Stroke, Mohd Sultan of Jammu bagged gold.
Honnesh Rohmetra claimed gold in Under-19 boys 50 Mtr Back Stroke, while Nihal Sharma of Jammu and Farukh Usman of Kashmir bagged silver and bronze respectively.
In Under-19 boys100 Mtr Free, Ahmed Ikram and Kinshuk Safaya, both from Jammu clinched gold and silver respectively.
In Under- 17 boys 50 Mtr Back Stroke, Aadhar Koul of Jammu, Showkat Ali of Kashmir and Firdous of Kashmir claimed gold, silver and bronze medals respectively, while in Under-17 boys 100 Mtr Back Stroke, Rasagya of Jammu bagged gold, Hoshiar Singh of Jammu and Asif Bashir of Kashmir bagged silver and bronze respectively.
In Under-17 boys 400 Mtr Free Style, Pritpal Singh of Jammu and Firdous Ahmed of Kashmir claimed gold and silver medal respectively, while in Under-17 boys 200 Mtr Free Style, Sidhant Sharma of Jammu bagged gold, Rasagya of Jammu clinched silver and Murtaza Ali of Kashmir won bronze.
Meanwhile, in Under-14 boys 50 Mtr Back Stroke, Pratul of Jammu, Ritik Verma of Jammu and Basharat Ali of Kashmir claimed gold, silver and bronze medals respectively, while in Under-14 boys 100 Mtr Back Stroke, Deepak Singh of Jammu claimed gold, Ab Majeed of Kash clinched silver and the bronze went to Suhaib Nazir of Kashmir.
In Under-14 boys 50 Mtr Free Style, Karan Dhar of Jammu bagged gold, Abhishek of Jammu claimed silver and Rahil Bashir of Kashmir won bronze.
The competition was conducted under the guidance of ZPEOs Sarita Pandha, Sher Singh and Hira Lal Bhat.
