JAMMU, Mar 23: The Pre-primary wing of GD Goenka Public School, Jammu celebrated its Annual Day function with pomp and show today.
The theme for this year’s celebration was “Legacy of love- Upholding Family Values,” chosen to instill valuable lessons on family values and cultural diversity in young learners. The event, marked by an array of captivating stage activities, showcased the year-long learning journey of the kindergarten students, leaving the audience spellbound.
Distinguished guests, including Subah Mehta (Joint Director, Department of Education, Jammu) as Chief guest, Director of GD Goenka Public School Sanya Bansal, Arindam Roy Choudhury (Principal), Susmita Roy Choudhury (Dean Academics) and all the coordinators, graced the occasion with their presence.
The festivities commenced with a warm welcome by the pre-primary coordinator Navpreet Kaur, setting the stage for a memorable evening. Arindam Roy Choudhury addressed the gathering, sharing his thoughts on the significance of the occasion and the values endorsed by the school.
The evening commenced by captivating performance by the LKG students, who mesmerized the audience with a beautiful rendition seeking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati. The evening unfolded as students embarked on a fascinating journey through France, Spain, and Italy, immersing themselves in the richness of European culture while highlighting the importance of family bonds. From the picturesque landscapes of the French countryside to the vibrant streets of Spain, and the historic charm of Italy, little explorers embraced every moment with enthusiasm and grace.
Throughout their journey, students exemplified the true essence of family unity, fostering stronger bonds with each destination they visited. The audience was treated to enchanting performances that showcased the diversity of European culture, including enthralling international dances such as Salsa, Flamenco, and Tarantella, alongside charming countryside dances, all brought to life by our talented young performers adorned in vibrant costumes.
