Pre-Schools imperative for developing skills among children: Bhalla

JAMMU, Mar 2: Lauding the initiative of pre-school facilities for imparting various skills to children in their early age, JKPCC Working President Raman Bhalla said these assume immense significance for laying their sound foundation.”Studies have shown that children taught at early age have fewer behavioural problems and can develop improved social kills”, Bhalla said at the 2nd Annual Day function of New Jersey Pre School Kunjwani at Teacher Auditorium Gandhi Nagar Jammu.
Prominent among those present on the occasion include Retd. SSP Anil Katoch, Deepak Honda, Ashish Sehgal, Harvinder Singh, School Chairman Jatinder Kour, Principal Pooja Sharma and others.
“Amid pulls and pressures of the modern times, the involvement of parents and teachers has assumed added and crucial significance in shaping the academic destiny of youngsters,” Bhalla said. He expressed the hope that alongside academics, schools would pay matching attention towards extra-curricular activities, sports and personality development, which constitute important ingredients of the overall growth of students.
“Grooming young minds is a crucial challenge, not only for parents and students but also the management, which has to generate a conducive atmosphere for youngsters to grow in harmony,” Bhalla added further.
Bhalla complimented the management for creating adequate infrastructure for imparting quality education and engaging students in sports and other activities. Principal Pooja Sharma presented the annual report and gave a resume of activities in academic excellence achieved and other events carried out during the session. On the occasion the young students presented a variety programme depicting various facets of Jammu and Kashmir’s rich ethos.
