JAMMU, Apr 24: The Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2018-19 was organised at Presentation Convent Senior Secondary School with zeal and enthusiasm, here today.
The ceremony was presided over by Dr Meenakshi Kilam, Registrar, University of Jammu as the chief guest.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp which was followed by a thought provoking assembly presented by the students of Class XII enlightening everyone about the true meaning of leadership and how the leader sets a clear vision, motivates, guides and empowers others to achieve success.
The event comprised of the oath taking ceremony wherein the newly elected members of Students Council were conferred with sashes and badges.
As they took the oath of allegiance they promised to fulfil all the duties entrusted to them with devotion and dedication.
The Head Girl, Garima Mahajan, in her maiden address promised to shoulder all the duties entrusted to the Council with sincerity and serve her Alma Mater with spirit of selflessness.
The chief guest, Dr Kilam lauded the efforts of the Management and the staff for providing opportunities to the students which prepared them for global citizenship. The Principal of the school, Sr Hema, congratulated the entire team of the Student Council and reminded them to honour the responsibility and trust bestowed upon them.
The ceremony concluded with the School Song.
