President MCR kick starts Rajouri circular road work

RAJOURI, June 2: President Municipal Council Rajouri, Mohd Arif along with Councillors, District president Rajinder Gupta and Councillor Mamta Dutt, kick started circular road work from Naban Bridge to Sports Office, Rajouri.
Estimated at the cost of Rs 2.61 crores under the Languishing Project of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the work is now expected to be completed within the given deadline. President of Municipal Council Rajouri, Mohammed Arif, along with Ward Councillor and District President Rajinder Gupta and Councillor Mamta Dutt, started the pending work of the much-needed circular road in Rajouri town.
While addressing the general public, Arif said the circular road project is important in Rajouri town for a number of reasons, including connectivity to the old city, several residential localities, commercial promotion, town beautification, and connecting the town to other parts of Rajouri.
He further said the public of Rajouri have made a strong case for the Ring road/Circular road project to be completed as soon as possible to various plate forms of government. Arif highlighted that the Municipal Council of Rajouri recognises the importance of this route for the general public and Rajouri town and they are approaching the J&K government to build it as soon as feasible.
Rajinder Gupta urged nearby residents’ for assisting the executing agency and contractors building road for local public while interacting with the media on this occasion. He also explained why the road is so important to the locals. He also stressed upon the executing agency and contractors for the quality of work.
Meanwhile, President of Municipal Council Rajouri met the executing agency people on this occasion and instructed them to ensure the quality of road work. He congratulated residents for the start of this vital road work, which had been abandoned for years. He also informed the general public that all balance work on the circular and other roads which the Rajouri town residents desire, will be completed as soon as possible.
