NBF T20 Friendship Cup

JAMMU, Nov 22: Press Club XI Jammu defeated Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor in the ongoing NBF T20 2020-21 Friendship Cup, organised by Nirbhay Bharat Foundation (NBF) at GGM Science College Ground, here today.
Batting first, Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor decided to bat first and scored 117 runs in stipulated 20 overs while the Press Club XI chased the target convincingly. Mohit Sharma was declared as man of the match.
On the occasion, Vinay Sharma, SSP ANTF was the chief guest whereas renowned businessman Bhupesh Gupta and Rajan Gupta- president Sarv Shakti Sena were the guests of honour.
Vinay Sharma, SSP ANTF said that this event will surely bring some positivity which was missing since the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic. He advised the youth to stay away from drugs as it not only disturbs the family life but causes destruction in the society as well. He appreciated the organisers of the event.
The tournament is being organised under the supervision of Tarun Uppal, chairman of the Foundation with an aim to promote sports spirit among the talented youth of the Union Territory.
Tarun Uppal informed that more sports events for the youth will be organised in near future. “Such type of events exemplifies the sentiment of public for peace and prosperity in the UT,” he added.
