JAMMU, May 12: The annual Principals’ conference of Bhartiya Shiksha Samiti (BSS), J&K, concluded today at State office, Narayan Bhawan, Ved Mandir Complex, Ambphalla, Jammu.
The programme was inaugurated on May 10 by Hem Chander, national secretary, Vidya Bharti Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Sansthan, Delhi, in the presence of Professor Kumar Manglam from Pune, Ram Lal Sharma, senior vice president, J&K State Sangthan Mantri and all office bearers of Samiti.
Hem Chander, while speaking on the occasion, impressed upon all the principals to work according to the aim of Vidya Bharti. He said that Vidya Bharti started its first school in 1952 in Gorakhpur UP and at present is running 13 thousand schools in every corners of the nation. He impressed upon all the principals to give more thrust on value education and quality education to enrich the young generation of our country with dignity and honour.
30 principals of Vidya Mandirs including Leh attended the conference. The main topics which were discussed in the workshop where in service teacher training, school annual planning, programmes of academic excellence, ideal educational atmosphere, syllabus and educational workshop based on CCE, etc.
In the valedictory function held today, Padam Shri Braharn Dev Sharma, patron, Vidya Bharti, was the chief guest while programme was presided over by Siri IvIala Sambanna, Deputy Commissioner KV Sangthan, J&K. The other dignitaries present on the occasion were Surinder Attri, general secretary, Vidya Bharti, North Zone Kurukshetra, Ram Lal Sharma, senior vice president, Vidya Bharti J86K, Pradip Kumar and Sangthan Mantri, Vidya Bharti J&K.
Braharn Dev Sharma, in his speech, a student of the Vidya Bharti School from Kishtwar cracked the IAS and tops the J1030 SE 10th class results which shows the sincere efforts and hardworking of teachers working with missionary zeal on nominal salary.
