JAMMU, May 31: Scripting a convincing win over her rival 4th seed Dakshata of Gujarat in Under-16 girls age group, youngster Prinkle Singh of Jammu and Kashmir, 8th seed of the tournament stormed into the finals of the All India Lawn Tennis Championship at Shaishya Tennis Academy at Ahmedabad in Gujarat.
Prinkle defeated Dakshata in two straight sets by 6-3, 6-3 to face Shivani Engle of Maharashtra in the summit clash tomorrow.
Earlier, in the pool matches, Prinkle toppled Riya Dalal of Gujarat and Ceiling Maria of Tamil Nadu to enter quarterfinals, while in quarters, she clinched an upset win over top seed Urmi Pandey of Gujarat by the scores of 6-3,6-3 in two straight sets.
Meanwhile, in Under-12 age category, Prinkle Singh lost to Sabyata Nihalni of Delhi in quarterfinals in two straight sets by 4-2, 4-2.
