UDHAMPUR, June 8: Municipal Councillor, Priti Khajuria along with CDPO Chenani, Anuradha Sharma released book ‘Nanhe Kadam’ in her Ward number-1.
The book is based on Early Childhood Care and Education Course through Mission Directorate of ICDS for Anganwadi Centers.
Speaking on the occasion Councillor Priti said that Anganwadi Centers are the cradles of elementary education for economically weaker children and investing in the early years of children is one of the most effective and efficient investments that a country can make to end extreme poverty and promote shared prosperity to deliver and create the human capital needed to diversify and grow economies.
“For this it is important that we have a strong foundation. Future of the society is linked to education and development of the children, thus, ‘Nanhe Kadam’ will act as a bridge between child’s home life and entry into school,” she maintained adding: “Now with the book ‘Nanhe Kadam’ and with the efforts of Anganwadi Workers, enrolled children of their Centers will have the best performance.”
Priti urged upon the people present on the occasion to further make others aware about Anganwadi Centers so that economically weaker families can also provide good education to their children.
