Priya Sethi advocates for inclusion of moral education in schools

JAMMU, Apr 11: Saying that academic and extra-curricular activities are vital for widening the horizon of students, Minister of State for Education, Information and Culture Priya Sethi today strongly advocated for inclusion of moral education in academic curriculum.
Priya was speaking at a function organized by Career Abacus institute for honouring its pass-out students at Polytechnic College, here today.
Priya, who was chief guest on the occasion, said that extra-curricular activities should not be separated from the education because moral education is also imperative for all-round personality development of a child.
She called for introducing games in educational institutions in a big way to imbibe spirit of sportsmanship, confidence and discipline among the children adding that these qualities are necessary for an efficient administrator and a successful person in life.
Stressing upon the students to work with dedication to achieve desired goals, she advised them to do their best for the uplift of the society and the nation in particular.
Earlier, certificates and medals were awarded to outgoing students for successfully completing different stages of the course offered by institute and also for best performance in academics and extracurricular activities.
Among others, Yudhvir Sethi, BJP leader, Arun Bangotra Principal Polytechnic College, besides faculty members, students and their parents were present on the occasion.
Students who were awarded Mitashini Koul, Stuti, Shivalika Wazir, Arpita Magotra, Sohiela Sharma, Sauhaard Sharma, Preet Arnav Singh, Mitali Sharma, Anika Singh, Nakul Sharma, Pragun Sharma, Arshdeep, Krish Mittal, Dhruvi Nargotra, Amninder Pal Singh, Savneet Kour, Simarpreet Singh, Khushi Kalsotra, Ananya Sharma, Ronak Singh, Medha Sharma and Prabhnoor Singh.
