JAMMU, Apr 2: Career Abacus, a leading teaching institute organized an award ceremony of ‘Speedy Math Competition’ at Naveen Shiksha Kendra School Bari Brahmana, near here today.
The competition was held online. It is held annually to promote excellence in mental calculation and math learning.
Director of the Institute, Arvind Sharma informed parents that participating in the competitions increases the interest and confidence of children.
Additional Superintendent of Police Samba, Surinder Choudhary was the chief guest, while Rajiv Salathia, Principal and Pratibha Jamwal Vice-Principal of the School were the guests of honour.
The function started with lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest and other guests, while the welcome address was presented by Himani Sharma. The chief guest motivated the students with real life examples and encouraged the students to join some sports activity along with studies.
The number of students from different Centers of Career Abacus had participated in the competition, which consisted of 40 questions and three minutes time was given to solve the sums, wherein around 50 percent students were able to score full marks in the competition.
Champion of Champions were Aarav Verma, Tarun Singh, Archit Abrol, Chaitanya Mahajan, Hazel Suri, Pearl Suri, Hariansh Nag, Sukheep Singh, Manvik, Aarohi Arora, Abhiyaan, Advika Choudhary, Akshay Debroy, Goonj Vaid, Hanshini, Harshdhir Singh, Taapsee, Nihaas, Bhavya, Aahaeli, Gurpreet, Kavish, Kavya, Yathaarth, Aditri, Anhad Mahajan, Kairav, Sana Parveen, Anhad Sharma, Gantavya, & Aakrisht Arora.
Kartavya Mahajan and Navisha Mahajan emerged as Champions, while 1st prizes were secured by Akaalpreet Kour, Saisha Malhotra, Gurshesh Kour, Ananya Bangotra, Atharv Amrutkar, Krishiv, Keerat, Nitya, Harsh Bangotra and Avni Sharma.
The 2nd prizes were clinched by Manya , Arpit and Mansha Choudhary and 3rd prizes were won by Medansh Choudhary, Saanvi Rajput and Aarav Gupta, besides consolation prizes were secured by Sachchit, Ridhvan, Aadvik, UV Sudan, Hasnain, Samreen, Adiva and Ikjot.
Arvind Sharma presented the vote of thanks, while the event was supported by all the franchisee, Centre heads, trainers and staff members.
