Prize distribution ceremony of UCMAS ABACUS contest held

JAMMU, Nov 6: The prize distribution ceremony of 3rd J&K State Level UCMAS Abacus Competition was organized at police auditorium, Gulshan Grounds, here.
Over 200 students from different UCMAS centers in Jammu namely Sarwal, Talab Tillo, Exchange Road, Janipur, Gandhi Nagar and Channi Himmat participated in the competition.
The competition was conducted in 8 levels where 200 questions of Arithmetic (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division) were asked and children were given a time of mere 8 minutes to complete the paper.
Raman Bhalla, Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation was the chief guest on the occasion, who was impressed with the live demo of kids and appreciated the abacus education skill imparted by UCMAS in J&K.
Madam Vijay Puri, Academic Director of KC Gurukul Group was guest of honour on the occasion, who while presenting trophies to winners praised the efforts of Course Instructors for imparting the knowledge of Abacus education to students of Jammu region.
Present on the occasion were Rupesh Masson, Sonia Masson Director, UCMAS J&K, along with Rashmi Aggarwal, Moderator UCMAS J&K and franchises of different UCMAS centres including Laxmi Gupta, Anita Bhan, Rimple Sharma, Prabjot Kour, Ritika Gupta and Course Instructors namely Jyoti Kohli, Kalpana Jain, Rohini Gupta and Anjana Puri.
Meanwhile, the organizers claimed that due to the vigorous training provided at UCMAS Centers in Jammu for State Level Competition little bum chums of age group 5-13 years can now answer trickiest of mathematical question within seconds.
Students who stood first in different categories included Anmol Gupta, Anurag Bharti, Anusuiya Dutta, Bani Saini, Chhavi Koul, Kushagra Dubey, Manan Sharma, Navya Jain, Nitin Anand, Pitambar Gupta, Riyushi Roy, Shashwat Dubey, Shreesh Agarwal, Siya Khanna, Suvesh Pandita, Taresh Pandotra and Treyaan Sethi, while those who claimed second place in different categories included.
Aditya, Asma Gul, Diksha Singh, Karnika Thakur, Kashvi, Madhur Gupta, Manik Shah, Nishu Supriya, Ojaswin Kohli, Rishinandan, Sargam Sharma, Seerat Raina, Shivnandan Sharma, Tejasvi Zutshi, Vedhant Suri and Zorawar Singh Rathore.
The students who claimed third place in different categories included Aashna Jain, Akshita Jain, Ayush Parihar, Garima Choudhary, Gokul Langer, Kavya Aggarwal, Krishiv Pandita, Ritvik Gupta, Rudra Gupta, Rudhar Partap Singh, Saumya Sharma, Shivam Bhat, Shivam Razdan
Shivansh Gupta, Tanishka, Vishap Partap Singh.
Students who stood 4th in different categories were Aarya Bhatia, Aryan Gupta, Ayush Kumar, Aakriti Dhawan, Achutam Dev Singh, Bhuvan Mahajan, Hitakshi Trehan, Krish Bhalla, Lavana Shan, Medansh Thusoo, Mehak Dua, Piyush Sharma, Pragyan Jain, Sukanya Bhat and Vibhor Jain, while those claiming 5th place in different categories were
Pandoh, Priyansha Gupta, Shiksha Handoo, Shivansh Singh, Soham Jain, Tripti, Vishal Choudhary, Manan Jain, Akshwan Thappa, Ayushmaan Langer, Muskaan Kapoor, Pawani and Pranav.
The champions in different levels included Akshat Bhagotra, Arin Sharma, Aryavir Koul, Prachi Gupta, Stuti Mahajan, Suvrat Jain, Vansh Tickoo and Vanshika Kaul, while Vansh Tickoo, who complete 200 sums within eight minutes with 99% accuracy emerged Champion of Champion.
