Srinagar, Nov 26: Continuing its mission to strengthen party base and striving to achieve ‘Mission 44+’ target in the ongoing Assembly election in Jammu and Kashmir, Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) today organized its maiden workers convention in old city area here.
The party leaders told Excelsior that the purpose of keeping the venue in “sensitive” area of city was aimed at boosting the morale of Party workers.
The party has organized the convention at a hotel in Munawarabad area to ensure participation of youth from Down Town parts of city.
The enthralled party workers were shouting slogans of “Modi”, “Modi” where dozens of people joined the party.
The BJP leaders said they want complete freedom for youth from corruption, injustice and high handedness. “BJP Kashmir unit wants freedom from NC, PDP and Congress in the ongoing State Assembly elections to ensure development of the State,” they said.
Charanjeet Singh Khalsa, BJP State secretary and campaign Incharge for Kashmir while talking to media persons said that the party is striving to strengthen its base in every area of the State. He said: “The party is gaining support of public here which is visible from the fact that some 400-500 youth are joining the BJP every day in Kashmir,” he said.
Singh said it was due to the BJP’s pro-people friendly policies because of which people are joining en masses. “Youth want change for their better prospects, which only BJP will facilitate them,” he said.
