JAMMU, July 17: All casual Safai Karamchari’s working with various municipal committees would be absorbed as regular employees by the end of August 31 for which the process is already underway.
This was stated by Director of Urban Local Bodies (ULB), Jammu, K L Khajuria while chairing a meeting with members of Safai Karamcharis Union, Urban Local Bodies, headed by its president Dev Anand Gill at his office chamber this afternoon.
Khajuria informed the union that process of regularizing 548 casual Safai Karamchari’s working with 34 Municipal Committees has been already initiated and would be complete till August 31.
Khajuria also informed the union that as per their demand concession of State Subject, education and other benefits would be given to Safai Karamcharis during process of absorption as regular employees.
Vijay Kumar, Deputy Director, Urban Local Bodies, Jammu, Tersem Masi and various office bearers of the Union were present in the meeting.
