JAMMU, May 1: Prof. K.G. Gupta, Principal, IECS Polytechnic, Purkhoo Camp, Domana today relinquished his office after serving the institution for a period of 12 years. Prof. Gupta who had served in Government Polytechnic college, Bikram Chowk, Jammu for more than 36 years, superannuated as Principal of that institution 20 years back in the year 1999 and later joined IECS Polytechnic in 2007.
A warm farewell was accorded by the management and staff of the institution to honour and bid farewell to the outing Principal. Speaking on the occasion, the newly appointed Principal Amit Sharma lauded the services of Prof Gupta and described him as a reputed teacher, a brilliant academician and an outstanding and capable administrator.

Prof. Gupta, going down the memory, described how he became a part and parcel of the Jamwal Education Group, eight years after his retirement from Govt. Polytechnic. He acknowledged the cooperation of the management, faculty and other staff all of whom worked as a family in such a manner that IECS came to be known as one of the best technical institution in this State. He called upon his colleagues and junior staff to work with zeal and enthusiasm for the betterment and continual progress of the institution.
