JAMMU, Sept 4: Professor (Dr) Kulwant Singh has been conferred with Lifetimes Achievement Award for best Academician in the field of Ayurveda by Vishav Ayurved Parishad.
The award was presented to him by Dr Govind Ram Gupta, president Vishav Ayurveda Parishad Jammu and Kashmir, Dr Jitender Gupta, secretary, Prof Dr Sudesh Gupta, in-charge Teacher Cell JK and other members of the Parishad.
Dr Kulwant was conferred the award in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the field of Ayurveda spreading over 30 years. Dr Kulwant Singh is the former Director of Institute for Post Graduate Teaching and Research in Ayurveda (IPGT&RA) and Head of the Department, Department of Shalya Shalakya, Gujarat Ayurveda University, and Jamnagar.
Dr Kulwant has also written a book titled “Kshara Sutra Therapy in Fistula-in-Ano & other Ano-Rectal Disorders”, published by the National Academy of Ayurveda, New Delhi.
