JAMMU, Jan 7: Prof Naresh Padha of Jammu University has been elected as member of the Executive Committee of prestigious Indian Science Congress Association for the session 2016 -17. Results of the elections of Executive Committee and Council were declared during 103rd Indian Science Congress at Mysore yesterday.
A total number of around 40000 members of the Indian Science Congress participated in the election and this is for the first time that anyone from the State of Jammu & Kashmir has been elected in this prestigious body of science in the country.
